Channam Touk

The name of Lao recipe is Chanam Touk. In English it is Beef Salad. We
are Lao from Laos. We cooked this recipe in Lao for New Years, and
wedding ceremonies. But in the U.S.A. , we cook it for Christmas and
Thanksgiving. It is expensive to buy.

Ingredients

1/6 cup fai

1 1/3 cup mint

1/4 cup Mien cilantro

1/2 cup chives chopped

1/6 cup lemon basil

2 cups chopped cilantro

1/3 cup lime leaves

1/2 white onion

3 stalks lemon grass sliced

10 chiles arbol minced

1 head garlic

8 pounds boneless beef chuck, cooked and chopped

2 limes cut in half

Salt to taste

1 1/2 teaspoon red pepper powder

1 1/2 teaspoon MSG

2 teaspoons black pepper

3 1/2 teaspoons fish sauce

1/4 cup rice powder

6 cups bean sprouts

Directions

1. Fai, Mint, Chives, Lemon Basil, Chopped Cilantro, Lime leaves put in
the same bowl.

2. In a separate bowl add sliced onion, lemongrass, chiles and garlic
minced.

3. Put Chopped meat in large bowl.

4. Squeeze lime into meat add salt, Red pepper, MSG, Sprinkle Black Pepper.

5. Add onion garlic mixture.

6. Mx well

7. Add fish sauce.

8. Mix well.

9. Add rice powder.

10. Mix well .

11. Add Bean Sprouts

12. Mix well

13. Add Cilantro Mixture

14. Mix well

15. Eat with lettuce and rice

Now this is the second trial...without any format and
I am choosing the right placement, small photo
and the second paragraph. Will work this way

Indonesian Music

One sunny April Sunday in Teutonia and I am
loading and pasting my first video posting in this
Hit and Miss Blog. This was taken during the
Exhibition of Indonesian Contemporary Art
in Alte Feuerwache in Cologne City.
All the time, I was looking for this beautiful
painting, Girls'Talk and wishing I could bring
it home. With the right amount of cash...
interest is not enough.

Unholy Friday

Just received an email from another Pinay, and she said
she is actually doing some unholy work on this Holy Friday...
editing all her papers for the final publication of another
book on migration...
What about me? Here I am still trying to find other secrets
of the keys of my laptop and applying changes to my blogs
without having to read all those guidelines what to do when
one wishes another color and shape for one's temples or
rather templates.
...and just now, Carole King is singing over my fav radio station
this Holy Friday, You've Got a Friend...where are you friend
blogger of mine who could assist me in this very hour
of doubt and anguish...

Domestic Goddess

Another sunny day in this week but I was staying
indoor since I got up this morning with only one thing
in mind...to finish an input for this coming seminar.
Nothing of that sort happened. Instead, I was glued
in front of my notebook and just clicked and clicked
entries for Babaylan...Thousands of entries with that
name: artists, readings, spiritual leaders, witches,
herbal suppliers, gays, trans-genders, lesbians,
priests, healers, revolters, shamans, filipino women,
writers, migrants, protesters, spiritualists, shamans,
dancers, leaders, medium between god and mankind.

Whatever. After the hundreds of clickings and markings,
I came to realize that the 8 pm news was over and there
was no sign of anything to prove that I really have started
working on my input. Sigh! And I have an aching back and stiff
nape to complain but not a single line for a rough draft.

And the optimist in me says, "Tomorrow is another day!"

Where did I read that one, "don't put off for tomorrow what
you can put off for today!"

Ah, yes, I actually want to learn how to post live wire, I mean
links and this I will try NOW!

So back to Babaylan, color it with blue and add the links
but HOW?

As I could see, the search box is in this blog and I just was being gutsy with hitting
the keys.
But what would ads be of interest to my reader? Polka dots like in this bogs?
Now, I could also try the search box with my other blogs.
